The Journal of Multidisciplinary Research Horizons in Social Sciences and Humanities (ARH) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research in the humanities and social sciences. The journal strictly adheres to international scholarly standards and fosters multidisciplinary approaches and innovative perspectives aligned with major global indexation databases (DOAJ, Scopus, etc.).

2. Submission Eligibility & Criteria

  • Manuscripts must represent original, unpublished research that provides a substantial scholarly addition to the discipline.
  • Authors must adhere strictly to academic integrity; submissions must be completely free from plagiarism.
  • The total word count should range between 5,000 and 9,000 words, including references and footnotes.
  • Front-Matter Elements:
    • Abstract in Arabic (150–250 words).
    • Abstract in English (150–250 words).
    • Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords in both Arabic and English.
  • To guarantee the integrity of blind review, authors must remove all author identities and institutional affiliations from the manuscript body and file metadata prior to submission.

3. Technical Formatting Guidelines

  • Arabic Font: Sakkal Majalla, font size 14 for body text.
  • Latin Font (English/French): Times New Roman, font size 12 for body text.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 lines.
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides (top, bottom, right, left).
  • Headings: Bold typeface for all section titles.
  • Page Numbering: Sequential numbering centered at the bottom of each page.
  • Citation & Referencing Style: Adherence to the APA Style (7th Edition) or the Chicago Manual of Style, according to specific disciplinary requirements.

4. Peer Review Procedure

Submissions are evaluated through a Double-Blind Peer Review process following these steps:

  1. Initial desk screening by the Editorial Board to ensure compliance with submission guidelines and originality.
  2. Blind assignment of the manuscript to at least two specialized peer reviewers.
  3. Editorial outcome determination: (Accept without revisions / Accept with minor revisions / Re-evaluate after major revisions / Reject).

Review Duration: The evaluation stage typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks from the date of submission.

5. Publication Ethics & Conflict of Interest

  • Strict prohibition of plagiarism, duplicate submissions, and data fabrication.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and absolute transparency throughout the peer review cycle.
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Authors must explicitly disclose any financial, commercial, or personal associations that could bias the study's conclusions (e.g., "The author declares financial support or an interest that may affect research findings").
  • Full respect for intellectual property rights and accurate citation of secondary literature.

6. APCs, Copyright & Withdrawal Policy

  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): The journal operates under a full Diamond Open Access policy; no publication fees or submission charges are levied upon authors.
  • Copyright & Licensing: Authors retain intellectual property rights while granting the journal the right of first publication. Republishing elsewhere requires proper reference to the original source in ARH.
  • Manuscript Withdrawal: Once accepted, a manuscript cannot be withdrawn without a valid, justified academic rationale officially submitted to the Editorial Board.
  • Submission Portal: All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online portal (OJS) using the official template. Email submissions are not accepted.

Author Confirmation

Submitting a manuscript via the journal’s platform implies full and implicit acceptance by the author of all terms, author guidelines, and editorial policies of the journal.
